Learning Objectives
OSHA 30-Hour Construction safety course trains workers and employers on recognition, avoidance, abatement and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace. It includes information on workers' rights, employer responsibilities and how to file a complaint. This course gives you the specific steps and requirements you must meet to complete the OSHA 30 Outreach training program. Following this OSHA 30 training course, the student should be able to:
- Recognize what worker rights are protected under OSHA;
- Recognize what responsibilities an employer has under OSHA;
- Identify both major and minor construction hazards, and have knowledge on how to mitigate risks and avoid injuries or the possibility of death, among other topics

Course Materials
The Instructor, Instructor’s assistant, or admin staff may provide notepads and pens, or instruct learners to bring notepads and pens with them. Students are informed prior to the start of the course of the classroom/registration policy that includes rules on class attendance, tardiness, and expectations for completion of the course.
Course Requirements and Participation
This training program takes at least thirty (30) hours to complete. You must pass a 20-question comprehensive final exam on the final day of the course. You will have two (2) opportunities to take and complete the exam with a passing grade of at least 70%.
Students must earn a 70% or more in their final exam in order to successfully complete the training. Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in class (this includes completing any assigned quizzes or demos), and attend the course for the complete number of hours required.
Successful completion of the course will merit a Training Completion card and an A.S.T. Certificate of Completion.
